WELCOME

Georgia Tech is one of the world leaders in nanoscience and nanotechnology research. As the southeast US node in the NSF-supported National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network., the  Nanotechnology Research Center (NRC) serves nearly 600 researchers per year, with more than one-third of these coming from other universities, colleges, companies, and government labs. Researchers from any science or engineering discipline are invited to take advantage of our infrastructure, facilities, equipment and expertise to enable and facilitate interdisciplinary research in micro- and nano-fabrication and characterization.

About the NRC

The NRC is a research enabler, providing the high technology equipment resources, staff expertise, and training necessary for productive nanoscale science and engineering research.

Research at the NRC

As the premier nanotechnology research facility in the region, the NRC serves more than 600 users per year enabling interdisciplinary research in nanoscience, nanoengineering, microelectronics, integrated optoelectronics, MEMS, and BioMEMs.

Education & Outreach

The NRC/NNIN Education and Outreach Office provides programs for students, teachers, professionals, and the general public to ensure a nano-literate public and to encourage students to pursue STEM education and careers.

NRC Users

Resources and tools are provided in both the Pettit Microelectronics Building and the Marcus Nanotechnology Building for micro- and nano-scale fabrication and characterization..
